Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria on Monday, 14th September honoured the invitation of the Department of State Services (DSS).
As earlier reported by Naija News, Mailafia visited the DSS office in Jos, the Plateau state capital, for the third time in what is expected to be another round of investigation.
It will be recalled Mailafia has been in the limelight recently over his claims that a sitting Northern governor is the commander of the Boko Haram terrorist group.
This he stated during an interview with a private radio station in the country. His claims have already led to grilling on two different occasions by the Department of State Services (DSS).
The DSS has however dismissed his claims as fake and unfounded.
Recently, the former CBN Deputy Governor also alleged that his life is in danger as some powerful political forces are after his life.
On his arrival at the DSS office on Monday, Mailafia who addressed the crowd who had gathered in front of the DSS office with various placards noted that he won’t be intimidated by the security operatives or politicians.
He described himself as the voice of the common man, adding that he honoured the DSS invitation as a law-abiding Nigerian.
“I do not know why I have been invited yet again,” he said. “This has nothing to do with politics. I spoke as a citizen of this country, who loves the people of this country.
“I am the voice of thousands of voiceless people; Muslim youths have taken me as their voice, Christian youths have taken me as their voice; thousands of people have been killed in this country, in Borno, in Yobe, in Adamawa, in Katsina, in Daura, in Birnin-Gwari, in Zamfara, in Niger, in Southern Kaduna, in Benue, in Plateau, all over the country.
“Even the other day, a pregnant woman was killed in Bayelsa. I am the voice of the holy martyrs, and if I perish, I perish,” he said.
