President Muhammadu Buhari may have directed his new Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari to cancel all appointments and approvals made by the late Chief of staff Abba Kyari without his permission, The Guardian report claims.
According to the report released by the Guardian Newspaper, no reason was given for the President’s action, however, reports indicated that no less than 150 memos without the President’s authorization may have been uncovered. The Nigerian presidency has also refused to react to the report
Meanwhile, in a new development, The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, (HOS) Dr. Folasade Yemi–Esan, has threatened to dismiss any Public Officers found leaking Unauthorised Official Documents the Nigerian Government.
Naija News Understands that the Federal government gave the warning in a circular dated May 22nd, but made public Monday by the Director of Information, Olawunmi Ogunmosunle, in a statement.
The internal circular was addressed to the Chief of Staff to the President, Office of the Vice President, Ministers, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Permanent Secretaries, and Service Chiefs/Inspector-General of Police, among other Public Officers.
