Buhari Approves Conditional Relaxation Of Coronavirus Lockdown

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the conditional and phased relaxation of the lockdown imposed on Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States due to the coronavirus outbreak.

This was contained in his speech during his nationwide broadcast on Monday, 27th April 2020.

The President said: “Based on the above and in line with the recommendations of the Presidential Task Force on COVID nineteen, the various Federal Government committees that have reviewed socio-economic matters and the Nigeria Governors Forum, I have approved for a phased and gradual easing of lockdown measures in FCT, Lagos and Ogun States effective from Monday, 4th May, 2020.”

Coronavirus: MFM GO, Olukoya Reveals Solution To COVID-19

The General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr Daniel Olukoya, has revealed the only way the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19) can be eradicated.

In a statement, the popular cleric urged Christians and people of faith to observe a seven-day prayer and fasting against the pandemic, its systems and repercussions.

According to Olukoya, the prayers would also help our leaders receive divine wisdom to tackle coronavirus.

Coronavirus: 64 New Cases Of COVID-19 Confirmed In Nigeria

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday evening confirmed 64 new cases of coronavirus infection in Nigeria.

This brings the total number of cases in the country to 1337.

A break down of the confirmed cases reported by the NCDC on Monday shows 34 cases in Lagos, 15 in the FCT, 11 in Borno, 2 in Taraba, and 2 in Gombe.

“As at 11:20 pm 27th April- 1337 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 255, deaths: 40,” the NCDC tweeted.

Raymond Dokpesi Tests Positive For Coronavirus

The Chairman of DAAR Communications Plc, Raymond Dokpesi Jnr, has tested positive for the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).

Dokpesi disclosed this in a short message to members of staff in Abuja on Monday.

It was gathered that Dokpesi was said to have been self-isolating in the past week before he developed malaria symptoms and started coughing.

He reportedly contacted the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for a COVID-19 test which came back positive.
