COVID-19: NCDC Says This Category Of People That Should Not Be Allowed In Public Places

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday advised that people with body temperature above 37.50⁰ C should not be allowed into public spaces or gatherings.

The Nigerian health agency urged that such persons should be advised to seek medical attention.

The NCDC made the warning in a tweet on its official Twitter handle on Tuesday.

“Please #TakeResponsibility by ensuring temperature checks at entry points in public spaces including: Offices, Banks, Supermarkets, Places of worship.”

“Those with a temperature over 37.50⁰ C should be denied entry and advised to seek medical attention,” the NCDC wrote on Twitter.

It will be recalled the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday evening confirmed 573 new cases of coronavirus infection in Nigeria.

With the latest figures, Nigeria now has 16,658 confirmed COVID-19 cases including 5,349 discharged cases and 424 deaths.
