The Police on Wednesday noted that anyone found wanting during the September 19 Governorship election in Edo State would face the full wrath of the law.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Johnson Kokumo, stated this during a visit to the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II.
Kokumo briefed the traditional ruler on preparations for the Governorship election in the state.
The Commissioner of Police assured that adequate security would be provided before, during and after the election.
He noted that measures have been put in place to forestall violence.
Kokumo disclosed that the police was collaborating with other security agencies to ensure a smooth exercise.
In his remarks, the monarch advised youths not to allow themselves to be used as thugs by politicians.
