Malaysia Records No Coronavirus Deaths In 10 Days

Breaking: Oyo Records First Coronavirus Case, COVID-19 In Nigeria Now 23 Cases

The Health Ministry in Malaysia, on Monday, revealed that the country has not recorded any Coronavirus death in the last ten days, leaving the total death case in the country at 115.

The Director-General of the Ministry of Health, Noor Hisham, noted that Malaysia recorded 38 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 7,857.

According to the breakdown released by the ministry, 26 cases were imported cases, while six others are local and six more foreign nationals.

“The majority of the country’s new COVID-19 cases recently were contributed by imported cases and local transmission among foreign nationals involving foreign workers and several clusters identified in immigration detention facilities”.

Hisham further stated that local transmission involving Malaysian citizens has been on the decline.

“The authorities are working to control further transmission among foreign workers while providing those tested positive with the best treatment.”

The country also recorded 51 recoveries recently, bringing the total cured and discharged to 6,404.

Further information revealed that out of 1,338 cases, eight are currently being held in intensive care and two of those are in need of assisted breathing.
