The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi has reacted the sudden resignation of the Secretary to the State Government SSG, Hon Ifedayo Abegunde.
Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Tope Okeowo to Naija News, Ajayi wished Abegunde well in his future endeavour and berated the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu over his high handedness and marginalisation.
He also accused Akeredolu of marginalising all his political allies and appointees within the state. Ajayi said Akeredolu only listen to his wife, children and relatives while other public office holders are irrelevant.
However, this allegation against the state government is in line with a report by vanguard newspaper that linked up ifedayo’s resignation to the deliberate intention of Akerdolu to marginalise him. Abegunde, a former member of the House of Representatives was said to have been an onlooker in the Akeredolu led administration for over a year .
He had been complaining that all his responsibilities had been shared to others in government especially to close allies of the governor
