Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Friday announced one new case of Coronavirus in the state.
Governor Makinde who also the Chairman of Task Force on COVID-19 in the state disclosed this on his Facebook account on Friday.
He further stated that the new case is from Oluyole Local Government Area of the State.
Makinde said, “The COVID-19 confirmation test for one suspected case came back POSITIVE.”
Makinde added that the total number of Coronvirus confirmed cases of in the state stands at three hundred and eighteen.
“The case is from Oluyole Local Government Area. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 318.”
“The Emergency Operations Centre will commence additional community-based testing at Ibadan Southwest and Ibadan North Local Government Areas today, Friday, June 05 2020.”
“The community-based testing drive will take place in ten locations across the state.”
