President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, joined other worshippers at the State House Mosque to observe the Jumaat prayers.
The President was joined by some other top government officials and some of his aides to observe the Friday prayers.
Naija News reports it is the first time congregational prayers would hold in the mosque after the government lifted the ban on religious gatherings on Monday.
The ban on religious gatherings was previously imposed about two months ago as a way to curb further spread of the coronavirus disease in Nigeria.
Our correspondent observed from the pictures released by presidential media aide, Bashir Ahmad that social distancing was observed in the sitting arrangement inside the mosque.
